The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold is a hybrid phone and tablet device that supports the S Pen stylus like the current model. However, whether the next Galaxy Z Fold 5 will include an S Pen with the device or require consumers to purchase it separately is unclear. A report claimed that Galaxy Z Fold 5 could be the first to have an integrated S Pen.
The stylus will be free, and the phone will include a slot to store it like the Galaxy S23 Ultra and S22 Ultra. With the Galaxy Z Fold 4, buyers have to purchase the S Pen separately, and there is no way to attach or store it without a case. Having an included S Pen could make the Galaxy Z Fold 5 a more useful productivity device, boosting its appeal for notetakers and artists like the Galaxy Note users.
However, another report indicates the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will not include an S Pen slot. Among changes, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to have a thinner design due to a new water-drop-shaped hinge, according to reports. We will likely hear more about Galaxy Z Fold 5 at Samsung’s Unpacked event in August since new foldables are usually announced then.
